How long have you been part of the BRAVEday team, and what did you do before?

I recently joined the BRAVEday team, starting on 18 May 2026, and I’m excited to bring with me more than a decade of experience in customer service and financial support roles. Since beginning my career in 2013, I’ve worked across customer service, technical support, fraud prevention, and mortgage servicing, which has helped me develop strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, empathy, and resilience when working with customers from different backgrounds and situations.

What do you do to fill in your work day?

I like keeping my work day organised, productive, and balanced. I enjoy staying focused on my tasks while also looking for ways to improve processes and learn new skills that can help me grow both personally and professionally. I’m someone who values efficiency and continuous learning, so I often spend time exploring better ways to manage my workload, improve communication, and deliver better results in whatever role I’m in.

What about family?

Family plays a very important role in my life. I became a widow at a young age and raised my three children as a solo parent for many years, which taught me resilience, patience, and strength. A few years later, I met my partner, and we were blessed with another child who has brought so much joy to our family. I truly value spending quality time together and creating meaningful memories with the people closest to me.

What is the most challenging thing you have ever done?

One of the most challenging things I’ve ever done was becoming a solo parent at a young age whilst balancing work, family responsibilities, and personal growth. After losing my husband, I had to stay strong for my children whilst continuing to build a stable career and provide for my family. That experience taught me resilience, patience, independence, and the importance of staying positive and adaptable through life’s challenges.

Any special achievements/awards you want to brag about?

One of my proudest achievements was being promoted to a Subject Matter Expert at my previous company, a role I held for four years. During that time, I was recognised for my performance and selected as part of the Top 20 agents entrusted to investigate client dissatisfaction triggers and help improve the overall customer experience. It was a rewarding opportunity that strengthened my leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

What do you do for fun?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring nature. I love mountain trekking, especially chasing sunrises and sunsets and taking in beautiful horizon views. I also enjoy visiting waterfalls, exploring new places, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends. Being in nature helps me relax, recharge, and maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life.

If you could have a super power what would it be?

If I could have a superpower, I would choose to be like Superwoman because I admire the idea of being strong, resilient, and able to help others whilst balancing many responsibilities. As a mum and someone who has navigated life’s challenges, I often find myself juggling work, family, and personal responsibilities, so having the strength, energy, and ability to be there for everyone would be amazing. I also love the idea of inspiring others, staying strong during difficult times, and always finding ways to rise above challenges whilst continuing to care for the people I love.

What is your life “Theme Song” right now?

Any song that reflects resilience, strength, and continuing to move forward despite life’s challenges. I can go for the “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten.

Leave us some inspiration…

Life may not always go the way we planned, but every challenge teaches us something valuable. No matter how difficult things become, there is always strength in continuing to move forward, even one small step at a time. I’ve learned that resilience is built through life’s hardest moments, and that kindness, faith, and perseverance can carry us through almost anything. Always believe that better days will come, keep growing through every experience, and never underestimate how strong you truly are. Sometimes the strongest people are the ones who continue to smile, love, and support others despite everything they’ve been through.
